About

About The Forensic Brief

The Forensic Brief is a structured, multi-section publication about AI failure, governance, and accountability. The technical design document defines it as the canonical home for the publication's original writing, with LinkedIn and Medium intended to point back here so that search authority and the email list accrue on the site itself.

The publication is organized around five primary content types: incidents, essays, books, observations, and artifacts. Incidents are evidence-based post-mortems of documented AI failures. Essays are long-form writing, including pattern-style analyses within the essays collection. Books gather the related long-form series. Observations act as preliminary field notes. Artifacts collect reusable AI-governance templates and tools.

The site is designed to stay fast, low-maintenance, and Markdown-driven. The TDD specifies Astro static output, Cloudflare Pages hosting, Cloudflare R2 for larger downloadable files, Pagefind for search, and structured content collections with validation so published material can be maintained without a database-backed CMS.
